spirit warrior Dartanus, his best friend Tao, and sometimes by the tracker Arina,
Dar sets out to fulfill his destiny."

HERCULES: THE LEGENDARY JOURNEY/SYN/1995-99
[Narrator] "This is the story of a time long ago. A time of myth and legend when
the ancient Gods were petty and cruel and they plagued mankind with suffering.
Only one man dared to challenge their power...Hercules. Hercules possessed a
strength the world had never seen. A strength surpassed only by the power of his
heart. He journeyed the Earth battling the minions of his wicked stepmother,
Hera, the all-powerful Queen of the Gods. But wherever there was evil, wherever
an innocent would suffer, there would be...HERCULES."
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH/ABC/1967-69
[Narrator] "Long ago, a lone explorer named Arnie Sacnuson made a fantastic
descent to the fabled kingdom of Atlantis at the Earth's core. After many
centuries his trail was discovered by me, Professor Oliver Lindenbrook, my niece
Cindy, student Alec McQuen, our guide Lars, and his pet duck Gertrude. But we
were not alone. The evil Count Sacnuson, last descendant of the once noble
Sacnuson family, followed us to claim the center of the Earth for his power mad
schemes. He ordered his servant Tor to destroy our party, but the plan
backfired, sealing the entrance forever. And so for us began a desperate race to
the Earth's core, to learn the secret of the way back. This is the story...our
new JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH."
LONG JOHN SILVER/SYN/1955
[Narrated by Robert Newton] "If sailor tales to sailor tunes, Storm and
adventure, heat and cold, If schooners, islands, and maroons, And buccaneers,
and buried gold, And all the old romance, retold Exactly in the ancient way, Can
please, as me they pleased of old, The wiser youngsters of today: Ar! Haha! --
So be it, and fall on!"
This narration is derived from a poem "To the Hesitating Purchaser" in the
dedication of the novel Treasure Island by Robert Lewis Stevenson. The reminder
of the poem (not heard on the TV show) reads:
"If not, If studious youth no longer crave, His ancient appetites forgot,
Kingston, or Ballantyne the brave, Or Cooper of the wood and wave: So be it,
also! And may I And all my pirates share the grave Where these and their
creations lie!"
MORTAL COMBAT/SYN/1998-99
[Voice of Jeff Meek as Raven - first episode] "Kung Lao, a humble young man with
a heart of a great warrior. Soon that heart will be tested as he fights for his
home, The Earth Realm. Kung Lao will make his stand in the tournament called
‘Mortal Kombat.’ Here the Elder Gods grant the greatest fighters of the universe
the right to defend their own realms against the warriors of the dark realm call
Outworld. The rules are simple. Each generation the chosen fighters from each
side are transported to Shang Tsung's Island, an outpost between realms. If they
lose their battle, their realm falls to darkness, forever. Absorbed into the
desolate expanse of Outworld. Another victory for Emperor Shou Khan. For
centuries of combat Khan's champion Shang Tsung has remained undefeated, laying
to waste an untold number of fighters with his sorcery. Earth is the jewel of
the universe. A young, vast pristine realm whose inhabitants have not yet begun
to comprehend the power it holds. I am Raven, god of thunder, protector of the
Earth realm. It's not an easy job, believe me...Today,. Earth lives or dies with
the skill of its greatest warrior. It's a fight to the death in this sacred

realm from the forces of Outworld by fighting for their lives, by fighting for
their honor and by fighting for their world. In a tournament called Mortal
