[Camera pans up the side of a building]. 

Male voice: Look up in the sky!
Male voice: It's a bird!
Female voice: It's a plane!
Male voice:  It's SUPERMAN! 
Narrator: Yes, it's SUPERMAN!...strange visitor from  another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. SUPERMAN! who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his bare hands. And who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for Truth, Justice, and the American way!  Willie Tanner: Hello?...Hello? This is K726XAA. Can you read me? [A modulating beeping sound is heard] They're answering but I don't recognize the language. [The beeping sound gets closer and louder]
 Kate Tanner: Why don't you just shut it off? 
 Willie Tanner  I...can't...I can't control it. It's locked in on the signal.
Kate Tanner: Willie, what's that?
Willie Tanner: Oh, my gosh! It can't be.
 Kate Tanner: The lights! What happened to the lights?
Lynn Tanner: Daddy! Daddy! What's that thing in the sky? [Beeping sound over the garage] 
 Brian Tanner: [Entering the garage] What's going on?

  Willie Tanner:

 It's closing in fast. I think maybe we'd better [loud BOOM! as spacecraft crashes into garage] 

Willie Tanner:

[Silence...then]  We have a visitor. 

[Newscaster voice] "That was the scene in California's Mojave Desert five years ago--our historic first view of the Newcomers' ship. Theirs was a slave ship, carrying a quarter million beings, bred to adapt and labor in any environment. But they'd washed ashore on Earth, with no way to get back to where they came from. And in the last five years, the Newcomers have become the latest addition to the population of Los Angeles."

[William Woodson as Narrator] "Gathered together from the cosmic reaches of the universe, here in this great Hall of Justice, are the most powerful forces of good ever assembled: SUPERMAN! BATMAN AND ROBIN! WONDER WOMAN! AQUAMAN! And The Wonder Twins: ZAN and JAYNA, with their space monkey, GLEEK! Dedicated to prove justice and peace for all mankind!"

[Voice of Kevin Sorbo as High Guard Cmdr. Dylan Hunt] "The long night has come. The system's Commonwealth, the greatest civilization in history has fallen. But now, one ship, one crew has vowed to drive back the night and rekindle the light of civilization. On the starship Andromeda, hope lives again."

[Opening #1-Voice of Michael O'Hare as Commander Jeffrey Sinclair] "It was the dawn of the Third Age of Mankind, 10 years after the Earth Minbari War. The Babylon Project was a dream given form. Its goal: to prevent another war by creating a place where humans and aliens could work out their differences peacefully. It's a port of call, home away from home for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs and wanderers. Humans and aliens wrapped in 2,500,000 tons of spinning metal, all alone in the night. It can be a dangerous place, but its our last best hope for peace. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is...BABYLON 5."

[Opening #2 -Voice of Bruce Boxleitner as Captain John Sheridan] "The Babylon Project was our last best hope for peace. A self-contained world five miles long located in neutral territory. A place of commerce and diplomacy for a quarter of a million humans and aliens. A shining beacon in space. All alone in the night. It was the dawn of the Third Age of Mankind. The year the Great War came upon us all. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2259. The name of the place is BABYLON 5."

"Commander Sinclair is being reassigned." "Why don't you eliminate the entire Narn homeworld while you're at it?" "I see a great hand reaching out of the stars." "Who are you?" "President Clark has signed a decree today declaring martial law." "These orders have forced us to declare independence." "Weapons supplies." "Unless your people get off their encounter-suited butts and do something." "You're the one who was." "If you go to Z'ha'dum, you will die." "Why are you here?" "Do you have anything worth living for?" "I think of my beautiful city in flames." "Like giants in a playground." "Get the hell out of our galaxy!" "We are here to place president Clark under arrest."

[Narrator] "This is 29, Acacia Road. And this is Eric, the schoolboy who leads an exciting double life. For when Eric eats a banana, an amazing transformation occurs. Eric is Bananaman. Ever alert for the call to action."

Watching, warning against surprise attacks by alien galaxies from beyond space. G-Force! Fearless young orphans, protecting Earth's entire galaxy. Always five, acting as one. Dedicated! Inseparable! Invincible!"

[Narrator] "Their are those that believe that life here began out there, far across the universe with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians or the Toltecs or the Mayans. They may have been the architects of the great pyramids, or the lost civilizations of Lemuria or Atlantis. Some believe there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive, from far away, amongst the star." (or "somewhere beyond the heavens.") [Program closing narrated by Lorne Greene as Commander Adama] "Fleeing from the Cylon tyranny, the last Battlestar, Galactica leads a rag-tag fugitive fleet on a lonely quest...a shining planet known as Earth."

[Voice of Rick Overton as Rufus] "This is the future. San Dimas, California 2692. A most excellent society based on the philosophy of the Two Great Ones, Bill and Ted and the music of their band the Wyld Sytallyns. My job is to provide the Two Great Ones with the Circuits of Time Phone Booth allowing them to travel through time keeping them on their correct path...a path they must follow to ensure the future of our most excellent society. A society based on the philosophy and lessons learned during BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURES."

[Voice of William Conrad] "The year is 1987 and NASA launches the last of America's deep space probes. In a freak mishap Ranger 3 and its pilot Captain William Buck Rogers are blown out of their trajectory into an orbit which freezes his life support system and returns Buck Rogers to Earth 500 years later." [Alternate Opening]: "In the year 1987, NASA launched the last of America's deep space probes. Aboard this compact starship a lone astronaut Captain William Buck Rogers, was to experience cosmic forces beyond all comprehension. In a freak mishap, his life support systems were frozen by temperatures beyond imagination. Ranger 3 was blown out of its planned trajectory into an orbit a thousand times more vast: an orbit which was to return Buck Rogers to Earth five hundred years later."
