Ron Hayes as Lincoln Vail - EVERGLADESLincoln Vail's Airboat  - Flat-bottomed boat powered by a large propeller mounted on the rear of the vessel that skimmed through the Florida Everglades on every episode of the  adventure THE EVERGLADES/SYN/1961. Ron Hayes starred as Constable Lincoln Vail, an Everglades County game warden who patrolled a swampy wilderness of snakes and alligators to fight bad guys and rescue people in trouble. Lincoln reported to his supervisor, Chief Anderson (played by Gordon Casell).

Lincoln's airboat is seen prominently in the programs' opening sequence as Vail speeds through the Everglades while large thunderstorm clouds billow on the horizon.

Theme Song Lyrics

In the Everglades
There's a way of life
It's a way of peace without stress or strife.
There's a fellow there who protects these rights
Lincoln Vail of the Everglades.
The man on patrol in the Everglades....
Movin' ever movin' through the Everglades
