The Blackbird - The high-tech
speedboat on the fantasy adventure THE 100 LIVES OF BLACK JACK
SAVAGE/NBC/1991. The Blackbird was built by scientist inventor
Logan "FX" Murphy (Steve Hytner) from the body of a
SR71 spy plane
to help his friend Barry Tarberry (Daniel Hugh-Kelly) battle crime
around the Caribbean islands.
The speedboat takes its name from a pirate ship once captained by a
17th century buccaneer named Black Jack Savage (now a ghost who
joined forces with Barry to win his way into heaven). The
Blackbird is moored at a secret dock at Blackbird Castle on
San Pietro Island.
