B1 & B2 - Fruity stars of the
syndicated children's program BANANAS IN PAJAMAS. B1 & B2 are
actually two people in giant banana suits, wearing blue-and-white
vertically striped pajamas who speak with identical Australian
accented men's voices. B1 & B2 live on Cuddles Avenue. Inspired by
a song written by Carey Blyton in 1967, the TV series BANANAS IN
PAJAMAS debuted in Australia in 1992 and become a hit with preschool
children and adults worldwide. Other characters on the show
included the three Teddies (Teddy Bears) and Rat-in-a-Hat.

TRIVIA NOTE: On a primetime episode of NBC's medical drama ER Dr.
Greene (Anthony Edwards) telephoned his young daughter in Milwaukee
one morning and said, "I knew you'd be up, BANANAS IN PAJAMAS is
on."
