 XuXa - Sexy Brazilian
fashion model-turned-kiddie-show
host who appeared in XUXA/SYN/1993-95, a syndicated kid's show based
on her successful South of the border program that was popular with
millions of children in Latin and South America.
The program
featured games, songs, and educational film shorts. Xuxa's message
to her younger viewers was "Be happy...forget about bad things...and
all children have rights."
Maria da Graça Meneghel (aka, "XuXa") was born on March 27, 1963
in in Santa Rosa, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Her professional stage
name Xuxa (Pronounced SHOO-sha) is a nickname given by
her brother as a child.
