Batphone - When
trouble arises in Gotham City on the fantasy adventure
BATMAN/ABC/1966-68, a worried police Commissioner Gordon (Neil
Hamilton) and police Chief O'Hara (Stafford Repp) race to a special
red phone kept under a glass dome and call Batman, a.k.a. "Bruce
Wayne" (Adam West). "I don't know who he is behind that mask of his"
remarks Gordon "but I know we need him and we need him now!"
Meanwhile at stately Wayne Manor, the beeping Batphone (blinking
red) is answered by Alfred Pennyworth (Alan Napier), the Wayne's
loyal Butler who relates the commissioner's plight to his
millionaire playboy/crime fighter employer.

Bruce Wayne and his youthful ward Dick Grayson, a.k.a. "Robin" (Burt
Ward) don their superhero costumes and speed from the Bat Cave in
