child in her faith [her husband wants to raise the kid as a Christian] she began
to have a deeper appreciation of her Judaic roots and the Talmud.

descent who reluctantly moved to a small farm near Hooterville, U.S.A. with her
lawyer husband turned farmer, Oliver Wendell Douglas. Lisa met Oliver in Europe
during World War II. According to the series’ theme song Lisa gets “allergic
smelling hay.”
