ONE OF THE BOYS/NBC/1989
*(Maria Conchita Alonso/costar) Maria Conchita Navarro, a spunky, motorcycle-riding, Cuban/Venezuelan female who left her rich family to come to America. Starting as a waitress, she later landed a job at the Lukowski Construction Co. and eventually fell in love and married owner Mike Lukowski, a widower with three son. Amy Aquino appeared as Bernice DeSalvo, Maria's best friend.

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE/NBC/1975+
*(Fred Armisan) Fericito, a mustachioed nightclub stand-up comedian ("Lounge Lizard") from Venezuela who debuted in the fall of 2002. During an October skit Fericito helps Senator John McCain deliver jokes for the monologue. During another Fericito coached "Weekend Update" news anchor Jimmy Fallon on how to make jokes, as well suggesting catchphrases like "I'm Just Kidding!!" Fericito would deliver a joke and then bang a Latin beat on a drum at the punch lines. Armisen created the Fericito character before joining SNL.
