Hollywood featured on the situation comedy THE JAMIE FOXX SHOW/WB/1996-2001.
The management and staff of the King's Tower Hotel included:
Jamie Foxx as Jamie King, an aspiring singer from Terrell, Texas (and later
jingle writer) who moved to Los Angeles to work at the family's hotel as
a bellhop until he gets his big break in show business. Meanwhile, he
entertained in the hotel's lounge. Jamie is the eventual heir to the
King's Tower Hotel. Jamie's mother is a traveling entertainer (played by
Gladys Knight)
Ellia English as Aunt Helen King, co-owner of the hotel. She makes a
great sweet potato pie.
Garrett Morris as Uncle Junior King, co-owner of the hotel
Christopher B. Duncan as Braxton P. Hartnabrig, Jamie's coworker (an
accountant) at
the hotel and old nemesis
Garcelle Beauvais as Francesca 'Fancy' Monroe, Jamie's sexy coworker (desk
clerk) at
the hotel and future fiancée/wife.
Jamie Foxx as Tyrone Coppel, a news reporter (a black Ted Koppel)
occasionally seen who offered such quotes as "It's All Good", "I'm Bout
It, Bout It", and "The Heezy Fa Sheezy".
