Over the past fifty years, many mottos and slogans have appeared on television.
In the 1950s. Walt Disney produced a series of Davy Crockett programs with Fess
Parker. His frontier character lived by the motto "Be Sure You're Right, Then Go
Ahead."
In the 1960s, Patrick McGoohan (reluctantly tagged as "Number Six") encountered
a strange village whose charter believed "Questions Are A Burden To Others;
Answers Are A Prison For Oneself."
In the 1970s. Chuckles the Clown from The Mary Tyler Moore Show revealed his
mantra for life as "A Little Song, A Little Dance, A Little Selzter Down Your
Pants"
And in the 1990s. two zany rock musician Bill and Ted from Bill and Ted's
Excellent Adventures lived by the simply motto "Party on Dude!
