Excalibur -
Destroyer class spacecraft featured on the sci-fi
series BABYLON 5/SYN/1994-98 and the series
CRUSADE/TNT/1999.

Introduced on the made-for TV movie Babylon 5: Call To Arms,
the Excalibur was the product of both Earth and Vorlon technology.
Its 2990.31 meter hull was designed to refract
heat and laser fire.
If the ship's main weapons were fired at their
maximum setting, it took about a minute to
recharge the ship's energy supply, making it
temporarily vulnerable to enemy attack.

- Gary Cole as Captain Matthew Gideon,
commander of the Excalibur

Captain Matthew Gideon.
|
|
Galen: |
What do you want?
|
|
Gideon: |
To find a cure for the Drakh
plague before it wipes out all life on Earth.
|
|
Galen: |
Where are you going?
|
|
Gideon: |
Anywhere I have to.
|
|
Galen: |
Who do you serve, and who do you
trust? |

[silence]

|
Galen: |
Who do you serve, and who do you
trust? |
|
Gideon: |
I don't know.
|
|
Galen: |
Then I will go with you. |
The Excalibur later appeared on the
series CRUSADE/TNT/1999. Its mission was to travel the universe to find a cure for a deadly
nanovirus bio-genetic plague planted into Earth's
atmosphere in 2267 by marauding aliens (the Drakh).
