Swinetrek -
Spacecraft featured on the "Pigs in Space"
segment of the syndicated puppet series THE
MUPPETS/SYN/1976-81.
The Swinetrek was a jug-shaped spacecraft
resembling a pig that drifted aimlessly through
space.
Its Muppet crew members were Captain Link Hogthrob, Dr. Julius Strangepork and First Mate
Miss Piggy. An emblem/patch on each of their
uniforms had a face of a pig in a circle of blue
which rested on a lightning bolt.

The end of each serial episode concluded with
the announcer echoing "Tune in next week for an
other adventure of Pigs in Space!"
The Swinetrek II surfaced on the sequel series
MUPPETS TONIGHT/ABC/1996 that featured new skits
with Miss Piggy and the new crew of "Pigs in
Space: Deep Dish Nine! The Next Generation of
Pigs...in Space!" that included Captain
Pighead (pronounced "Pee-zhay"), Snorty and
Craniac.
