Green Giant - Located off exit 119 on Interstate 90, the small Minnesota
town of Blue Earth (population 3,745) displays a
55-foot fiberglass statue of the Jolly Green
Giant, the mascot for the Green Giant Frozen
Foods Company.
In 1978, the town spent $43,000 to erect it
(dedicated in 1979). The base of the statue
reads: "Welcome to the Valley, Blue Earth,
Minnesota." Information on the statue can be
