Mare's Leg - Bounty hunter
Josh Randall (Steve McQueen) nicknamed his rifle "Mare's Leg" on
the western adventure WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE/CBS/1958-61.
Mare's Leg was an 1892 Winchester 30-40 carbine with a
sawed-off barrel that handled like a pistol but had the
explosive punch of a rifle cartridge. Josh once said of his
gun, "It's kinda like a hog's leg but not quite as mean, If I
have to use it, I want to get the message across."
